The domain thisgreenlife.com was purchased as part of a plan to start a ‘green blog’ about living a more ‘eco friendly’ life without becoming some kind of incense burning tree hugging hippy. It was a good idea full of ambition and fueled by a real enthusiasm to make and share ‘green’ ideas that anyone could practically apply to their lives. Sadly, after a year in ‘beta’, I decided to shelve the project in February 2008.
In truth the decision to shelve the project was taken in part because the ‘green blog’ market is now jammed full of great blogs from companies, groups and individuals who clearly have more time and expertise than I do.
Blogs like thegreenguy, smartplanet, ecogeek and treehugger all do a much better job than I could have done and I didn’t simply want to re-hash what every other ‘green’ blogger was writing about.
The domain thisgreenlife.com has now been sold and will very soon been under the control of the new owners who I believe will be putting it to great use in the very near future.
